SUMMER SHOWCASE 2026--THE VISTONIAN

Do NOT skim this read. Doing so may lead to uncomfortable & embarrassing situations.

Students are getting ready to shine on Saturday, July 11th. Admission is absolutely free, and families are encouraged to bring as many guests as they like — the more, the merrier!

Be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to The Vistonian, 306 S Santa Fe Ave, Vista, CA 92084 Please check in with our team member at the door and then put your goodies on one of the tables in back and find your seats. (Students will sit in the reserved seats. (Keep reading it gets better.)

If your last name ends with A-M please bring a sweet treat to share, and if your last name ends with N-Z please bring a salty or savory treat to share.

There is plenty of parking around the venue. You will find a small lot behind The Vistonian, as well as street parking along the sidewalks surrounding it. (Don't stop yet...)

Dress for success 🇺🇸 -Recital Attire, Hawaiian, or Patriotic for our special 250 year celebration. For Recital Attire please choose slacks, button down, neck tie, nice shoes for gentlemen, and knee length or longer dress/skirt, covered shoulders, and flats for the ladies. For Hawaiian, a Hawaiian shirt or dress will be lovely. For Patriotic please choose a red, white and blue shirt or outfit. As always, please mind the length of dresses and skirts to provide modesty while seated on stage. We can’t wait to see you there!

Speaking of timing, we don't want you to miss a beat, so please plan to stay and enjoy the entire show. Our recitals are typically about 1 hour, including awards. We want the first student and last student to have the same audience-and that's you! 🎶 (Prize opportunity incoming).

Students who participated in the Piano Guild Auditions will receive their awards on stage at the end of the recital.

Please plan to stay for a little bit after the recital to take a few photos, and congratulate performers and teachers. 📷, (Home stretch.)

A reminder about performance protocol: Student smiles 😊 while walking up to the stage area and taking a bow as the audience claps to welcome the performer. Student plays the piece and bows after the performance and audience claps again. Student smiles 😊 while exiting the stage.

Please bring your book, even if you are playing from memory. It's a good habit. 📖 (Trust me, you'll be glad you finished.)

Finally, while not required, it is customary for students and teachers to receive flowers 💐 or other small gestures from friends and family after a performance.

If you read this far, you did it! Please text the word "Star" to 760-729-1335 to be entered into a special drawing. This helps us know how many families have read this and have all the details. We appreciate you!

Also, If you have any questions please let us know! Thank you for your commitment and we can't wait to celebrate with you! ~Melinda & Team Giacoletti
